About Dana-Marie's "Foldies" Act

Dana-Marie’s unique blend of folk music and popular oldies which she lovingly refers to as her “Foldies Act” is refreshing, playful, lively, charming, quirky, and beautiful.  She rocks the hearts of her listeners and captivates all within hearing distance with her soothing voice and deeply genuine performance.

After years of building a reputation as a professional, dynamic and versatile entertainer, Dana-Marie was handpicked to perform on site at the 2010 Olympic Games in Whistler and to provide intimate concerts for Olympic Athletes in their exclusive village.  Over the years, she has had the honor of sharing the bill with Juno Award winners and industry veterans such as Barney Bentall, John Bottomley, The Paperboys and many more.  She has been honored to open events for prestigious Canadians, federal politicians and world renouned speakers and her beautiful sentimental version of the Canadian National Anthem has had her returning to Whistler Olympic Park several times to commence World Championships and other professional sporting events.  Out in nearby communities, Dana-Marie’s vibrant personality can also be found gracing the stages of Community Festivals, Farmer’s Markets and organized Street Entertainment throughout Vancouver, Whistler and surrounding areas.   In addition to her vast public performance experiences, she is also frequently contracted for private family and corporate functions.

Dana-Marie's Foldies Act is perfect for any venue whether music is needed front and centre or casually in the background.  Even while providing soothing ambience, she’s been known to turn heads and delightfully surprise everyone with her unique and fresh approach to popular tunes.  It’s apparent that no matter one’s age or stage in life, Dana-Marie has an unparalleled ability to reach their heart, enthrall and entertain.   Her distinctive act caters to all demographics by embracing many styles of music spanning several decades.  Her repertoire includes such variety as Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, the Everly Brothers, Queen, Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Patsy Cline, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd, Jewel, Tracey Chapman, and many more.
